Free Property Damage Inspection & Same-Day Written Damage Report
Our own Rapid Home Restore inspectors come to your property, document the property damage, and give you a written report the same day. When work is needed, our technicians can handle mitigation and restoration.
Takes about 2 minutes · No obligation · Subject to service-area availability
Our process
From inspection to repair, one team
You decide at every step. Nothing moves forward without your agreement.
Inspect & document
Our inspector visits the property and documents the property damage, which may include photos or moisture-related observations where appropriate.
Receive your same-day written report
You get a written damage report the same day as the inspection. Keep it, and share it with your insurance company if you choose.
Mitigate & protect
When appropriate, our technicians protect affected areas from further damage — for example drying, water removal or containment.
Restore & repair
Our team repairs the affected areas after the scope of work is agreed with you and any required authorization is in place.
Mitigation vs. restoration
Two phases, explained plainly
Mitigation stops the damage from getting worse. Restoration puts the property back together. Our team can do both.

Mitigation
Protecting the property from further damage.
- Drying, water removal and containment
- Board-ups, tarps and temporary protection
- Often time-sensitive — it stabilizes the situation
Restoration
Repairing and rebuilding the affected areas.
- Starts once the scope of work is defined
- Begins after any required authorization
- Planned and agreed with you in writing
What our team can help with
Available services depend on your property and type of damage.
Water & leaks
Leaks, burst pipes and water intrusion, including flooding or standing water.
Storm & roof
Storm-related damage to roofs and exteriors.
Fire & smoke
Damage caused by fire, smoke or soot.
Mold
Suspected mold related to property damage.
Other damage
Something else, or not sure — our inspector confirms on site.
Why homeowners choose a documented approach
Clear facts first, then decisions — made by you.
One team
The same company inspects, documents, mitigates and restores, so you are not re-explaining the damage to someone new.
Clear documentation
A written report the same day, describing what was observed on site in plain language.
Continuity from mitigation to restoration
What is found during the inspection carries into the work plan, step by step.
Why documentation matters
After property damage, decisions are easier when the facts are on paper. A written report gives you something concrete to review and to share.
- A record of what was observed on site
- A document you can share with your insurance company
- Your insurer decides coverage, claim payment and policy interpretation — not Rapid Home Restore
While you wait
A few simple steps, only if they are safe for you.
Protect people and pets
Keep everyone away from the affected area.
Avoid unsafe electrical areas
Stay away from areas where outlets, wiring or appliances look wet or damaged.
Take photos if safe
Pictures of the damage can help with your records.
Service-area availability
Scheduling depends on your property and the type of damage. Share your ZIP code on the next screen so our team can prepare and coordinate the inspection.

Common questions
Is the inspection really free?
Yes. Requesting and receiving the inspection is free, with no obligation, subject to availability in your area.
What is included in the same-day report?
Our inspector documents the property damage on site, which may include photos or moisture-related observations where appropriate, and gives it to you in writing the same day as the inspection.
Do I have to file an insurance claim?
No. Whether to file a claim is your decision, made with your insurer. Rapid Home Restore does not decide or advise on insurance claims.
Will insurance cover the damage?
Only your insurer can answer that. Coverage, claim payment and policy interpretation are decided by your insurance company. You are responsible for any deductible under your policy.
What is the difference between mitigation and restoration?
Mitigation protects the property from further damage — for example drying or containment. Restoration is the repair and rebuilding of affected areas, after the scope of work and any required authorization.
Do I have to use Rapid Home Restore for the work?
No. There is no obligation after the inspection. Our team explains what we found and the next steps available, and you decide.
What happens after I submit the form?
A team member reviews your request and contacts you to confirm availability and schedule the inspection.
